This weekend the lovely Elcey got blessed. We love her so much!!! The little monster was so perfect for the whole afternoon until she decided to unload and luckily Autumn had changed her from her cute little dress. Sorry no pictures from the actual blessing. I had my camera all charged and packed and went to take pictures and had forgotten my SD card. I was so disappointed and felt bad since Autumn had asked to take the family photos. Luckily Kristi had brought hers, so Autumn was able to get a few.

Here is a picture I took of her a week before the blessing. I just love her bonnet, she looks like a chubby prairie baby!!!

Life has been crazy. I swear I always say that but it seems to get worse every week. Avi has been so fun to watch lately she is picking up more words and is getting to be quit the comedian. WE (I say we because I know Trevor secretly loves it) have let Avi sleep with us since she has been sick and I absolutly love it we will just be laying there and she sneaks through the covers and tickles you and laughs and then will wake you up in the middle of the night just to tell you some jibberish. I absolutly love it and don't mind that I am not getting a full nights sleep. She still loves to climb on everything and usually ends up in her top dresser drawer. I walked into the living room and caught her doing this.....

Really not sure how she managed it, but she did.

Friday, February 13th, my sister had her baby girl!!! She is such a doll. Elcey weighed 8lbs. 14oz. and was 20 inches long. It's so funny because Eyan was only 5lbs. and 13oz. What a great experience to watch my sister go through pregnancy and then being able to take her to the hospital in Roosevelt it reminded me of when I was pregnant with Avi and how much adrenaline you have while your in labor!!! We are so happy to welcome her into our family!!!!!

Well I am really not much of a political person but I think anyone and everyone was very interested in the election of our new president. I am not going to say how I voted, but wether my person won or didn't life goes on and lets hope it is a better one for America...(sounds kinda corny, but that is how I feel.) I found this quote while reading through MSN on the election:

"We know the challenges that tomorrow will bring are the greatest of our lifetime — two wars, a planet in peril, the worst financial crisis in a century," Obama said in his victory speech in Chicago's Grant Park. "There is new energy to harness and new jobs to be created, new schools to build and threats to meet and, for us to lead, alliances to repair."

Lets hope that the above statement is followed through with.

Also, here in no where Vernal, IT SNOWED. I love waking up to snow it really kicks my day off to being a good. Lets hope it stays that way!

Finally Halloween is over...I am sorry but when your child is Avi's age it's not so fun. She was a grouch the whole night because she didn't get a full nap in. I was scared to let her run around at the trunk or treat for fear she would get lost, but all in all it was a pretty good night.

It's been awhile since I have posted it has been so crazy trying to get everything organized before winter hits. I have new projects to work on and a sewing room to get in order. My wonderful sister is letting me make her baby girl's bedding and curtains ya know that whole sha-bang. I am really excited because secretly when Trevor becomes a millionaire (in my dreams) I am going to quit my full time job and just sew, but until that happens I guess I have to fit in sewing when I can. Anyways back to the weekend. It was probably the most eventful weekend we have had in a long time Jess, Jhon and Rielee, Marlie, Brigham, Zoey and Slade came over and we barbecued some cheese burgers and played some Mario Cart on the WII (my new favorite game!), sorry not a lot of pics those children were hard to catch to take a photo.

Lately I have just watched my little sweet, angel of a child go from this....

to a MONSTER!!! Honestly I can't tell you how many times she gets told NO! NO! NO! and shut that or get down from there! I am a pretty easy going person sometimes to easy if you were to ask Trevor, but this child tests me. but in the end I can't help but laugh at her because truly she is a crack up. In her way she is her dad because she is so impatient and demanding, but she is also bubbly and goofy. Her new thing is climbing on everything. My chairs to the table which then she ends up sprawled on the table....my coach, the bed, her little table, she tries to climb out of the crimb, she plays on my Elyptical like it's a jungle gym and now she has found I have a flat drawer that she can't sit in and start throwing stuff out of!!

I ran into a funny little site that is called "In the Motherhood" and had to share with everyone. I am sure most of you have already heard of it because I admit we are a little behind the times on TV. Heck I don't even know most movies that are coming to the big screen because we don't have TV. I know, I know no TV!!!! Lately it has been really difficult I realize that I crave drama and reality TV, But in the end I still can't convince Trevor that we should get some satellite or cable. Sorry I haven't posted forever, we have been so busy plus I broke my camera and Trevor won't share his so no pictures to share!! Anyways Avinlee is getting bigger then ever and has developed quit the personality of independence and attitude just like her dad!! Hopefully I can still the camera and actually post something interesting.......I almost forgot! My sister Autumn or Audy Pody is having a BABY GIRL!!!! Welcome Hayden Ryan Angus to our family. He weighed 8lbs & 8oz. and was born 8/8/08, what luck!!!

It's really funny I have been married to Trevor for about 3 years now and it is so funny to find out new things about him. As I was uploading into my snap fish account to get my photos developed I found these random pictures of him...Trevor is now an almighty fisherman with his friend and co-worker "Z", they fish for hours when Trevor is on days off. They just crack me up I mean look at him pose for this pic it is just too funny!! I bought Trevor a digital camera for Christmas last year and he never leaves work without, well except for today because I stole it and he didn't realize it, anyways out of everything I have bought he has enjoyed this the most and I get to find funny photos like this and of Avinlee which is awesome because I don't always get to see funny moments like her sleeping in a suit case because I am always working. I just love finding out about his funny quirks and not matter how irritating I think he is sometimes these make him who he is!!!

Happy Birthday Leaxin!!!. He turned the big 1 today, which is so exciting. We get to go and have a great party with them on the 9th. I am really excited because Lib always does such cute and fun things.

Today is also my Mom's birthday....Man is she getting old, just kidding!!! You wouldn't even guess how old my mom is, she is still so funny and the best grandma that anyone could ask for. Happy Birthday Momma, I love you!!!

Saturday Avinlee had her 1st Brithday Party. What a mess!!! Today Avi and I are heading to a baby shower for my friend Kelli. I always try to make each of my friends & family a baby quilt, so last night I finally finished and had Whit machine quilt for me, she always does such a cute job on their machine! I put a cream minky on the back, if you don't know what minky is then you better find out, you will be hopelessly addicted to how soft an cuddly it is!

Avinlee got the best little present from her cousin Hollie, A NEW COUSIN!!!! Lukeon Ivan Merrell came 3 weeks early. He weighed 6lbs and 3oz. and 18" Long. He is such a cute little fella and we are so excited to have him in our family. Congrats Hollie and Ivan on your healthy little guy!!!!!

Yesterday our little girl turned 1! I can't beleive that time flys so fast it just feels like she was born. We really didn't do anything to exciting because her little birthday party is on Saturday. We took her to lunch and then got home and my mom had bought her a cupcake with a candle and then I made sugar cookies and the family came over it was fun Avinlee was definately loved soaking up the attention. Happy Birthday Little Sister!!!

My Favorite Blog

I sometimes find myself checking other peoples blogs or sites more often then keeping mine up to date but I wanted to share this great blog called The Pioneer Woman (I have a link to the site on my side bar). The name isn't what you think, it is amazing listening to her stories, and trying out her great recipies (I made the Crash Potatoes last night and they were a keeper!). She also does alot of photography and gives hints and tips on how to make photos just right. Anyways this site became my very favorite when I read her Love story about her husband Marbol Man and herself called Black Heels to Tractor Wheels. I got lost in this story for like 2 hours because it is so real and a great love story that actually made me laugh out loud!!

We had a great family weekend Trevor was off of work so we just hung around the house and cleaned. Avinlee is getting closer and closer to turning 1 she is 11 Months and 3 Weeks. The in-laws went to a rabbit show and brought home 2 English Floppy Eared Rabbits while visiting they just couldn't resist giving her this yummy popcicle....

She also finally found my Tupperware Cupboard and oh what a mess I had to clean up.

I have officially finished planting my flower beds!! We live in a great neighbor hood that someone takes care of our lawns and we only have to do flower beds. So for my in-laws gave me a bunch of different flowers and plus while father's day shopping I just had to pick up more. Today when I got home from work with Avinlee I was so excited to see one of my lilly's had bloomed!!! I totally thought this moment was blog worthy. I just hope my green thumb improves but so far so good!!! Sorry the picture is the greatest.

It's been a few days since I have posted anything but we have been really busy. I celebrated a birthday on the 10th and had a great time. Trevor cooked me and our families dinner it was awesome, he is a much better cook then I am. We also had a baby shower for my cousin Hollie that is due at the end of July. We ate and decorated onsies which was alot of fun sorry I was so caught up in everything so I don't have pics to share hopefully I can get some from my aunt Shar. Because of the shower my cousins Lydia and Hayley came out to visit and they invited us to go up the canyon and have hobo dinners. It was a great time and for once great weather!!

I can't wait to give it to him he loves to show off the little gifts or pictures we give him at work! We also gave her little hand print to her Grandpa and Papa as part of there presents. I thought long and hard on what to give Trevor because he already has everything so I bought him a pressure washer. I am so thankful for my Dad, Father-in-law, and Grandpas, they have done so much for me and our family. I am greatful that Trevor is such a great dad because I couldn't do it alone. Happy Father's Day!!!

It has been so fun to watch Avinlee get bigger. Everyday I get to laugh about the new things she has learned. She loves to pull hair now and honestly when she pulls mine I pull her's back! It really hasn't helped and I give up before she does. Over the weekend we went to Grand Junction, CO to visit family and see Trevor's friend get married. We had a great time seeing everyone. We found out that Avinlee really is one of a kind, she found a new love, the suit case (See Pics)

60th Wedding Anniversary Party

Over the weekend Trevor's Grandparents celebrated their 60th Wedding Anniversary. We had some family pictures and of course Trevor showed up late like usual from work. We had a great time watching everyone dance and eating the yummy treats. Lib and I both made gifts for them I made the quilt and she made scrap book type book for Grandpa Bell and one for Grandma Bell. Each family member wrote about their fondest memories and Lib put their family picture with them. I didn't get a lot good pics so hopefully she will post some on her Blog.

New Project

So my closest friends know that I love to quilt and craft. I have finished a couple of quilts in the past month and will post their pictures a little bit later. I just started a new one for my sister. It will be a rag quilt from fabric by Michael Miller. I love his designs. Someday I hope to just quit my wonderful job and just sew quilts and design them with Trevor. He doesn't really know of this idea but he is such a great artist that I think he could really have some cool ideas!!

3 Steps & A Busy Weekend!

What a crazy weekend we had! Avinlee took 3 steps and is getting braver everyday. It is so exciting to watch our little girl grow up. We also go to see Cade graduate, Lib,Legrande and Leaxin came to visit. It is always fun when they come out because Avi and Leaxin get to play together. It was also Memorial Day which consisted of going to everyone's house and I swear all we did was eat!!

Well I am finally able to come back to work. Avinlee has been really sick with a high fever. Greatfully I work at an office that I am able to bring her with me. It gets pretty interesting trying to work and keep her entertained but it works out in the end. Everyone just loves her so she gets passed around a lot and is always being entertained.

Finally my 10 month year old is getting teeth. I was worried she didn't have any at all. Now if we can just make it through getting them to the surface we will be doing great! I feel so sorry for her because you can just tell they are driving her crazy. I have been using night time orjel but if someone has suggestions I would love to here them. Our next step will be walking, Avinlee is standing up all by herself and so badly wants to take that first step. I will watch her close and get a picture to share.
